The Toy Soldier Show London still bucks the trend
With the sun in th e80's and the tourist still all flocking around London town the June show really made for a great destination for all toy soldier fans. The show was full of a varied number of traders and from all over the world, making for a real international feel. Added to the well travvelled customers as well The Toy Soldier Show London made a for a very cosmopolitan visit.
King & Country UK was very busy with a great flow of customers all day...........in fact we had a couple of sneaky visitors on Friday! over all the sales at K&C UK were up showing that again not only is King & Country a great product but the show is a very popular show.
Numbers through the door were slightly down on June 2008 (like for like show comparison) but only as little as 20 max, the early birds were up, so definatly the early bird does catch the worm here.
Feedback from the traders around the show would bostle that those that turned up for the show were there to spend.
So as far as the economy goes The London Toy Soldier Show stares in the face of the economic downturn, and long may it last.

Hi Guys
Here goes with my first direct K&C review................the new DD107 LCA Landing Craft.
Starting with the Box............even before you get to the model the Box is really good. A great picture box with a display of various K&C models on. Then there are a couple of really nice pictures of the D-Day landings themselves showing the Landing craft in action.
Now whats inside the box??
The Landing craft itself is a Polystone and metal mix model in the same material as the tanks. All sections of the Landing Craft are non moving except for the front Ramp door which is designed to be down. (the point of action of this model is at the beach, giving reason for the ramp to be up) The Landing craft look so good i picked it up and had a good look around it. its amazing from every angel.
The rope / wire to the back of the craft is real string and is flxible making for a real effect look.
The Royal naval figures are in action as the cox'n steers the boys as close to the action as he can without grouding the craft, the gunner trys to clear a path as they exit. The figures, as you can come to expect from King & Country are very high quality and make for a realistic look to the craft. Just look at the pictures on the box to see how realistic the action is.
A great sized LCA to start with as it is small enough to fit in most dioramas and shelves but big enough to give some great effect. The craft is 16.5" long (42cm) long by 4.5" (11.5cm) wide and has a green baze base to stop the craft from scratching your dining room table or mantal piece!! i am sure the wife wont mind.
you can also hear in Andys own words about the Base on Toy Soldier TV www.toysoldiertv.com or here is the direct link to the film itself :-
http://www.toysoldiertv.com/videoview.asp?hd=0&vid=167&upid=11
Here at King & Country UK we have had in a large number of the landing craft and only today we sent most of them out this is going to prove a great King & Country model and a must have............in my opinion.
Add your comments to this blog if you have got the Landing craft and share your views. Or by all means use this section of the K&C UK Blog to ask questions about the item.

As there has been a huge increase in the number of ranges by King & Country, and a number of changes to the ranges already available. King & Country UK will be selling off various diorama bases at the Toy Soldier Show London. The bases will have signs up on them telling everyone how much they are.
We will even ship them out to you after the show to save you carrying them home (if you cannot manage on the day).
This will be making way for an entire new look of dioramas for the December Show.
See all of you who can make the show next week.
